“You don't have to be great to get started, but you have to get started to be great.” – Les Brown

For the video in this post I wanted to do something different. Once you watch it, you’ll notice I’m not in any fancy location; I’m not at the park or the beach, and I’m still in my pyjamas.

Now, there’s a reason why I did the video like this. In it I share my story of how bad it was making my first YouTube videos. So be sure to watch it as there’s a powerful message in it!

Points to take away:

1. It doesn’t matter how bad something is, just do it because overtime you’ll get better at it.
2. You don’t have to be great at something to get started.
3. If you have a message to share on video, make it about the message and the value you can add to people’s lives, and not about how good you look or sound.
4. If you want to start vlogging, speak about something that’s on your heart and don’t worry about editing when you’re just getting started.

As per the quote at the beginning of this post, you don’t have to understand to perfection how something works. The important part is that you start wherever you are, because that’s going to allow you to start getting better at it.

Did you get value? Is so, I would greatly appreciate it if you commented below and shared on Facebook.
